Bridewell Wine

We are now in our fifth year of production of wine from our vineyard. To date the highest number of bottles that we have produced is 1,850 in 2006. All the wines that we have produced thus far have been still white however with part of our 2007 harvest we are having a sparkling wine made. Exciting as this is, patience is need as it will probably be 2010 at the earliest before it is ready for release.

Our wines normally sell from between £5.75 and £10.99 per bottle depending on quantities that we have been able to produce.

Our wines are usually entered into the Regional Wine Scheme run by the UK Vineyards Association. Under this scheme wines are assessed against various parameters such as colour, clarity nose and taste. Success in the scheme means that we can label the wine as Oxfordshire Regional Wine.

comments about our wine

“Dry, aromatic, crisp and elegant but also fruity and juicy. Just the kind of aperitif wine I enjoy or perhaps a good match for simple white fish and seafood”

“Once again Bridewell Organic Gardens have come up with a superb white wine which tastes great with chicken or fish dishes. Its crisp finish makes it an ideal party drink too”

“Superb crisp dry white wine, fruity with good Bramley apple flavours, ideal on it's own, or with chicken or fish dishes”
